Choosing an Extension Ladder

How to decide the right size ladder:

1. Decide what is the highest job you need to do. Eaves 1 or Apex 2

2. Establish the approximate vertical height to this point by adding together the distances A, B and/or C which can bemeasured from inside the house. The approximate vertical height you have measured is the extended
length of the ladder you require.

3. Select the appropriate product. It is advisable to select the ladder with the closest size above your required height. If you intend to climb off your ladder onto a secondary surface (e.g. scaffold tower or roof) you should ensure the ladder extends 1.1m (3'8") above the landing place.
